Casa Cardoso represents the transformation of a corner building in Cuenca’s historic center. Where others saw wear and decay, we recognized character and potential. Without compromising its essence, we reconfigured the spaces to enhance fluidity, brightness, and functionality.The ground and second floors underwent a complete renovation, incorporating a central courtyard that not only floods the interiors with natural light but also establishes a seamless connection between levels. On the third floor, the building was expanded to create a suite with panoramic views of the city, while the communal terrace became an elevated meeting point where architecture and the surroundings intertwine harmoniously.
