Overview

This project emerged from the desire to harmonize architecture with nature, preserving its delicate balance. Located in the Orbetello Lagoon, these observation cabins are designed to seamlessly blend with the landscape, employing stone walls that echo the natural beauty of Tuscany and ensure the discreet presence of observers. Rising gracefully from these walls, the structure offers panoramic views and evokes a sensation of floating within the environment. The design prioritizes minimal intervention, strategically dispersing the cabins along various points to create an immersive journey through the landscape. The visitor center and lodging areas follow the same architectural language, enhancing privacy and promoting a continuous dialogue with the surroundings.

Result

More than a refuge, these cabins redefine the experience of nature observation. The architecture seamlessly extends from the environment, honoring its essence while providing visitors with a profound immersion that respects the ecosystem’s integrity. Strategically placed and crafted with materials that enhance visual and acoustic camouflage, the design ensures that human presence does not disrupt the natural behavior of the fauna. The interplay between stone walls and open spaces establishes a delicate balance between shelter and exposure, inviting observers to merge with the landscape without intruding upon it. At Atempo Arquitectura, we believe in the harmony between design and nature, creating spaces that invite us to inhabit the environment without overpowering it.
